Terms of Service

The service

HSKacer provides Chinese / HSK vocabulary study tools (flashcards, themed packs, progress tracking, and related features). Features may change as we improve the product.

Study content currently focuses on HSK levels 1–4 (HSK Standard and HSK 3.0 where available). Higher levels may be added later and are not guaranteed on any schedule.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Guest / local use without an account may be available with limited features; cloud sync and paid plans require an account.

Free and Pro plans

The Free plan includes limits described on the subscription page (for example word caps per level, a subset of themed packs, and single-level sessions).

Pro removes those limits for the billing period you purchase. Prices are shown in euros on the subscription page and at Stripe Checkout before you pay.

Payments and cancellation

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe’s terms for payment processing.

You can update your payment method or view invoices from the subscription page (Stripe Customer Portal) when billing is active.

If you cancel within 7 days of the start of the current paid period, we refund that period’s payment and set your plan to Free immediately. After a cancellation or refund in a given calendar month (Europe/Rome), you cannot purchase Pro again until the following month.

If you cancel after those 7 days, renewal stops and Pro access continues until the end of the period already paid; that payment is not refunded automatically.

A full refund issued in Stripe (including manually by us) also returns your account to Free.

Promo or complimentary Pro access may be granted without Stripe billing; those grants can be revoked if abused.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no unauthorized scraping, attacks, account sharing that violates these Terms, reverse engineering beyond what the law allows, or use that harms other users or our infrastructure.

Intellectual property

The HSKacer brand, software, and original materials we publish are protected. Vocabulary lists may be based on publicly known HSK frameworks; presentation and tooling remain ours.

You keep rights to your own feedback content; you grant us a license to use feedback to improve the product.

Disclaimer

HSKacer is a study aid, not an official HSK exam provider. We do not guarantee exam results or uninterrupted availability.

The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law (including mandatory consumer rights in the EU).

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create legal/security risk.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence if you are an EU consumer.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
